Mr. Ivan Bayross has the equivalent of a M. Tech Degree in Marine Electronics, Communications and Computers, which he obtained by studies at the Central Manchester University, United Kingdoms. He is the second Indian to obtain this degree from the U.K and was awarded a reciprocal certificate by the Government of India under the reciprocal certification agreement that exists between U.K and India.
He has 13 years of service in the Merchant Navy, all of it under foreign flag. During this tenure, in addition to his normal on-ship duties, he programmed and used IBM PC compatible computers a very great deal. The areas where his skills developed were in DataBase Management Systems.
Shore Based Computer Experience:
He spent the last 6 years of his Merchant Navy career with Norwegian Ships Management at Oslo Norway. Here he setup and controlled its E.D.P. center using Norske Data super mini equipment with Unix based Oracle 5.0 and Forms 2.3 as the O/s and programming environment of choice.
The systems that were developed and implemented produced Management Information, which helped control the profitability of running Ultra Large Crude Carriers.
Management Experience:
Ivan Bayross lectures at several premier [Post-Graduate] management institutes in Mumbai. He has written and published thirteen books largely based on commercial application development. These books are being used as standard reference material by the software industry at large.
Ms. Mita Engineer
Mita Engineer, a Master's degree holder in computer applications, has been working and training on Developer 2000, PowerBuilder, Delphi, Visual Basic,
JDK 1.1.2 and Visual J++
Mita has a of total seven years of work experience in Commercial Application Development. She has been through several software development life cycles.
Mita is very comfortable with Object Oriented Programming and how this differs from general Character-based programming. She has excellent English communication skills.
Mita heads a team of Analyst Designers and Programmers at SCT. She has done extensive systems design work and has produced technical and user manuals for custom written software created by SCT for its clients.
Mr. Cedric Fernandes
Cedric Fernandes, a Bachelor's degree holder in Commerce from Mumbai University has been into commercial application development for the last eight years.
He has specialized in creating Client/Server applications using a two tier or three tier model depending upon how the system will be finally implemented.
Cedric's team management skills are excellent. He has the ability to obtain
excellent quality of work from a team of people having differing skill sets.
He along with Vaishali and Mita ensure that a project always completes on time and within specification.
Cedric has designed and implemented the throughput based employee bonus system with on-line reporting via e-mail. This has largely contributed to
the very low rate of attrition that SCT has enjoyed for the last few years.
SCT simply does not has a better team motivator.
Ms. Vaishali Bhayani
Vaishali has completed her Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and has been working and training on Developer 2000, PowerBuilder, JDK 1.1.2 and Visual J++ , HTML, DHTML, SHTML and JavaScript.
She has a of total five years of work experience in Commercial Application Development. She has been through several software development life cycles.
Vaishali is very comfortable with Object Oriented Programming and how this differs from general Character-based programming. She has excellent English communication skills.
Vaishali is generally responsible for the systems design at SCT. All client projects developed at SCT have their design done or vetted by Vaishali. Q.A. of the systems being designed being the final responsibility of Ms. Mita Engineer.
His innovative work in DBMS programming and consequent improvement in resource management on-board ship, caught the attention of the company he worked for. He was promoted and offered shore-based employment.
His work at Oslo required him to manage men and machines. He reported directly to the Technical and Finance Directors of the company.
